For over 150 years, dating back to the original Park Blocks, Portland has been a leader in parks philanthropy, bestowing considerable grace and greatness upon our city. In keeping with this proud tradition, the Portland Parks Foundation is pleased to partner with community-driven efforts to improve our park system.
Fiscal Sponsorship Program
Our Fiscal sponsorship program allows a limited number of citizen groups that do not have charitable 501(c)3 status to fundraise. Our capacity to support such projects is limited. Project acceptance decisions are based upon alignment with Foundation priorities, likelihood of project success, perceived risks, and anticipated demands upon staff time. The process is competitive.
Capital projects and long-term sponsorship agreements require entering into a formal fiscal sponsorship agreement as well as Foundation board review and approval. The review process may be substantial.
On occasion, we do accept donations for small, single-occurrence, park-related actifivities and short-term projects based upon similar criteria. We reserve the right to refuse donations for any purpose, at our discretion.
If you would like to discuss the potential for fiscal sponsorship, please contact Development & Operations Coordinator, Nick Warren at firstname.lastname@example.org.
